HOUSTON – March 15, 2019 Kraton Corporation (NYSE: KRA), a leading global producer of styrenic block copolymers, specialty polymers and high-value performance products derived from pine wood pulping co-products, is sponsoring the Adhesive and Sealant Council (ASC) 2019 Spring Community Service Project in partnership with the Fairmount Park Conservancy. The event is from 12:30pm-4pm on Monday, April 8 in West Fairmount Park, Philadelphia, PA.
“We are proud to support this program for the fifth consecutive year,” said Peter Migchels, Kraton’s Marketing Director for Adhesives. “Kraton believes in the importance of making a Positive Difference to our communities, and we encourage our colleagues to do the same.”
Participants will help with spring maintenance on the native plantings including weeding, mulching and edging at the park’s Concourse Lake. This project is part of the ASC “Gives Back” community service program. According to ASC, “This event is always well received by the community! Volunteers in the past have truly enjoyed the camaraderie with fellow industry peers and the sense of pride involved with making a difference in the local communities that we hold our events in.”
The community service project is held annually in conjunction with the ASC Annual Spring Convention & Expo. This convention is considered the largest gathering of adhesive and sealant professionals in North America, with a focus on market trends, product introductions, regulatory updates and business development opportunities.
